Living Communion is a podcast oriented toward bringing the whole of the Catholic social tradition to life for modern, contemporary Catholic people.

The Hosts
Louis Damani Jones

Louis Damani Jones is currently a graduate student at Washington University in St. Louis studying social work and clinical mental health. He sits on the Board of Directors of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, as well as the Catholic Campaign fit Human Development grant allocation board for the Diocese of Belleville. Louis is also a research assistant at the Center for Social Development and a fellow at the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement. He is a certified catechist for the Diocese of Belleville. In addition, he was awarded the 2020 Cardinal Bernardin New Leadership award by the Conference of Catholic Bishops. 

Dr. Mark Etling

Mark Etling is Coordinator of Adult Faith Formation at St. Nicholas Parish in O'Fallon, Illinois. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Theology in the School for Professional Studies at Saint Louis University. He has a Ph.D. in historical theology from Saint Louis University. Mark resides in the Lafayette Square neighborhood in St. Louis, and is a member of St. Vincent De Paul Parish.

Matthew Flynn

Matthew Flynn is the Director of Adult Faith Formation and Mission at St. Clare of Assisi Parish in O'Fallon, Illinois and has a Masters of Divinity degree from the University of Notre Dame. He is happily married to his wife, Katie, who has already worked off all her time in Purgatory as a homemaker with two children (and is now working off time for her husband as well...). Matt has been involved in living out Catholic Social Teaching both domestically and internationally in various ways, including living, working, and volunteering for several years at the St. Peter Claver Catholic Worker community in South Bend, Indiana, which is where he met his wife.
